Since you are throwing the toilet away you don't need to worry about damaging it so turn off the water, disconnect the pipe going to the tank, get the water out, put on goggles and use a sledge hammer.
My husband has used a hack saw if it is too tight to get bolt cutters in there (which it probably is too tight). The do make them electric, Jennifer, if that helps any.
