How do I replace a chain link fence and gates with wood?
I have a chain link fence and big gates that I would like to replace with wood fencing. Do I have to dig up the posts that are currently there? Ive looked at other conversions in my neighborhood and it looks like they are using a wider metal post. Maybe it fits over the one that's there?

I used the fence post from the chain length. Go to the plumbing department and buy pipe bracing that holds it to the wall. Buy at least 2 per post. I used that to hold the wood fence to the post. They are already cemented in the ground. This will save you money and time.

You may save expense by using carriage bolts to fasten 2x4s to the galvanized posts and then nailing up (anchoring) the wood fencing to them.
Saving money is always good, thanks!
It is very good that I came across your question because I recently encountered a search for good masters for installing wooden fences. Not so long ago, during a country walk, I accidentally saw the fence of my dreams and was so inspired that I decided to share my discovery with my wife and she also liked it very much. That same evening, it was decided to change the fence near our house. And we started searching. Then our neighbor advised us to contact everlastgates and I really liked the result. I think that you should also try to contact these guys.
