How can I clean outdoor carpets?

  • Easy. Clean them! I did mine just before the Independence day holiday. Hose, bucket, dawn dish soap, white vinegar if necessary and a long handled, stiff bristled push broom. Hose down. Fill bucket with water and dish soap. Dip brush in bucket then brush brush brush, or squirt the dish soap on the carpet and brush. Rinse with garden hose. If moveable, drape over patio furniture or fence to dry quicker.

    HI Rita,

I agree with Naomie. I pull ours out onto our driveway so that it's in the sun, then wash with the same ingredients she uses. The vinegar helps with spots or mildew that might have started to create spots on the carpet. I'm fortunate that I can dry mine in the sun so it can dry quickly but if you can drape it over something, that will help too. Wishing you the best.
