Is the mold on the outside of your cushion fabric or on cushions that live outside?

Either way, I've had good luck washing things with some distilled white vinegar to get rid of a moldy smell. If you have actual mold, you might want to hose off the cushions first, if they're outdoor cushions. If they're indoor cushions, remove the casing, assuming that's the only moldy part, and again, hose it down outside. If any of the internal bits are moldy, you might want to replace them entirely, though you can try washing them in the washing machine, too.

Fran: I sprayed mine with a bleach-based spray cleanser. (Luckily they were a light color -- so had no whitening to contend with.)

Vinegar will kill mold spores. Once you clean, use wet & forget outdoor to help prevent future issues.

Thank you. I believe the cushions were put away wet. Florida is not kind to anything outdoors. Will look into the wet and forget. I will definitely try the vinegar too.
