How to take care of cast iron skillet
Here are some instructions on how to clean and season an iron skillet: https://www.craftylittlegnome.com/clean-season-cast-iron-skillet/
Season first. I use bacon fat to coat interior and bake at 200° for three hours.
After use, fill skillet with water as soon as the food is off. When cleaning I use scour pad (not steel wool) and no soap and hot running water. When clean, dry with a paper towel. I have skillets from my father's family's farm over 100 years old. NOTHING sticks to them.
