Which brand of manufactured wood is best?
which manufactured wood brand is best for a large deck that gets the west sun and heat? I have read reviews about warping , changing color and that manufactured wood is very hot.

I don't have an answer for you but I prefer wood, that you can maintain over plastic.... https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=which+is+best+for+a+hot+sunny+deck%2C+wood+or+composite&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 here are some articles to read.
Hi Nancy. We replaced our wood deck 3 times before installing the composite decking. I'm wishing we just used real wood again. The composite decking gets so hot, it is impossible to walk on barefoot. My dog can't use it either. When wet, it becomes slippery, and a sheet of ice in winter. It's more than double the cost of lumber, and in my eyes, not worth the expense of experience.😢
Stick with real wood. Maintenance is a part of life.
There are different grades of composites and they require different installation methods. We have Fiberon Horizon which is wrapped on all four sides with vinyl to prevent warping and fading. We also framed 12" on center so there would be no sagging. I'm sold. It's beautiful and is very solid. It is not aging.
