How can I use sparkle paint on an interior wall?
I’m wanting to do a feature wall, but not wallpaper. Thinking of using a dark paint and then a glitter paint. Anyone ever use this.

When the other walls are not dark or at least medium tones, introduction of a dark wall color has to be balanced with the composition of the other “dark” elements in the room.
For example, if I wanted to paint that wall a royal blue, I would make sure I had royal blue in the art on the adjacent walls and royal blue in the upholstery fabrics and royal blue in the area rugs. The art on the royal blue wall should tie into the lighter colored elements in the room’s composition. Not necessarily a lot, but enough to make it balanced.
Regarding the sparkle paint, does this tie into your overall design scheme?
Let’s say you have a lot of chromed furniture pieces and glass table tops in that room and your trying to go for a retro look. Then that would work. If great grandma’s mohair loveseat is in that room, it would look odd.
Physically, yes it can be done. I would spend some time reading the labels on the paint cans to make sure I got the biggest bang for my buck.
There is quite a few glitter paints on the market. You should check out your local home improvement store to see what you can try. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-1-qt-Harvest-Gold-Glitter-Interior-Paint-323859/304774685
Well I did it on a kitchen ceiling once. It turned out awesome. It was some time ago, and no longer remember the brand I used. As Cheryl recommended, read the paint cans carefully.
