What's your best advise to clean plug outlets?
I recently noticed my plug outlets look so shabby, you know the white looks smudgy. People plugging in stuff and the oils on your hand actually get on the plugs and covers. Afraid to spray because of electricity. I was thinking cotton balls and alcohol? Or should I just use the trusty Mr. Clean eraser? Thanks friends

Hi Lisa. I wipe mine down with a damp cloth. You can also remove them if they need a really good cleaning and then clean them and reinstall.
Removing them and using dish soap to clean them works well.
What about the actual plug? I agree with removing the plate to clean, makes sense, can't believe I had a brain dump on that one...thanks again
I use the pointed Q-tips for makeup. Spray some cleaner in a small cup and dip the tip into the cleaner and squeeze it to get the drip off. It cleans the little crevices, nooks and crannies like a champ. Been doing this for years. It’s a bit tedious, but works great!
