Can I paint a carpet, and will the paint hold up to mopping?
I have an old carpet on my floor and shampooing doesn’t seem to help I’m wondering if it can be sponge painted, stenciled, or just painted? Also how well it would hold up to mopping ?

Hi, Susy!
It's going to depend on the pile of the carpet as to whether it can be painted. I did find a post about it that may be of interest. I hope this helps!
I would pull it up or spray dye it. Rit Dye has 2 different formulas, the newest one is for synthetics call Dye More.. Use a garden sprayer or use a carpet cleaner..... https://www.pinterest.com/pin/342906959110149033/?lp=true
