How can I resurface old paneling in a mobile home?

I would cover with fabric using starch (so it can be removed). Much less expense that scraping/sanding and priming and painting.

Maybe nail really thin boards top bottom middle of wall attached with tiny nails, then adhere new with tiny nails or caulk, or strong glue for material!!?
Yes! I did my grandmothers home with a Venetian plaster product. The thing to remember here is that mobile homes have movement, so the plaster used was a Home Depot product with an elasticity in it. It’s been 9 years and it’s holding up great.
