You could get a shadow box frame and glue the matches in it. Are these little folders of matches or actual boxes of matches?
Cristina, the first thing that came to mind to show your mom's collection was a shadow box. You can get them different sizes to display all sorts of things. My mom had a small hand bell collection and displayed them in shadow boxes and small shelf with glass over it to keep out the dust. It worked well for her, hope this helps
I love the shadow box idea!!!
I have a friend who also collects matches from everywhere she travels. She keeps them in a very large round glass vase on her coffee table. it's an very interesting conversation piece and you can sort through them and talk about the travels.
