How can I decorate the paneling in a five year old's room?
Would like to do something with the paneling. I am also thinking of using construction machines and things with engines like airplanes trains etc.

I would paint the panelling and use shelves to display the types of toys you mention. Think of changes you will have to make over the next 15 years and try to pick a color or something that can be incorporated into his changing tastes. I love it when mothers try to please their children decorating. My daughter did that with her son who is a budding film maker, she even bought a rug that looked like pixels! You can get stickers that removable to decorate the room. Consider painting the paneling.
Sallie..l would clean..primer then paint the paneling. You can purchase stencils for the trains and things or use decals. It will be adorable & the child will love it!
