I recently hadthis problem. It took me a week to get it clean, using everything I could think of. Finally I applied a good soaking of Clorox cleanup and let the pot
Soak with this for about half a day. Then I scrubbed hard with brillo pad. This did not affect the finish of the pot.
I put a little washing powder in the pot with some water, bring to the boil and let it simmer for 30-60 minutes. It loosens the burnt bits.
Hey Yolanda! Scrubbing the bottom of the pan with steel wool, and/or scrubbing with some baking soda and a wee bit of water should work! Hope this help!
I am notorious for my burnt pot bottoms! The best thing I have found is "Barkeeper's Friend" and steel wool. It works both inside and outside of pots, but the most gratifying shine comes when used on the outside bottom of the pot. Best of luck to you!
