Hi Deb, plain ole corn starch and water will make great starch for your clothes.

there are different kinds of starch --- are you using it for clothing/ironing? or crafting? adding into washer? putting up wall paper? decoupaginging? paper maching? also some are non toxic for projects where it needs to be foodsafe.
