Can I use paints other than grill paint to paint a grill?
So, I see that there is specific grill paint that goes to 1200 degrees. I also see engine paint that goes to 500 degrees. The grill paint comes in only a few colors i'm not thrilled with. Anyone use the engine paint? Or any other ideas for colors? Thank you!!!

Hi Ivy, I don't know if I would risk using a paint not rated for grills. You could look into fireplace and stove paint but I'm pretty sure you would run into a similar problem with very few color choices. Have you thought about trying to mix them?
No, you are limited to grill paint as far as I know. You can try engine paint but you may have to redo and strip if it bubbles.
You can, but in my opinion the formula they use for the grill paint is much is much safer. Otherwise you can use spray paint easily. Hope it helps! Let me know if you have another questions.
Good Luck,
