at least one year before so the wood can season(dry)9
Eits been down for 3 years I have it stacked outside. It is seasoned. Just not sure when to bring it indoors
ty for replying to me
A time to start is in July
YES NOW! So my husband always tries to do it in the summer. He will rent a wood splitter and try to get it done before the Fall. Last year he waited until the Fall and although splitting is easier, the wood was not seasoned well enough and it did not burn well for the first month we were burning wood. 3 years of sitting around though is a long time...you also don't want it to rot!
I would leave it outside, dont want to bring the bugs inside especially since its been laying out for 3 years. Don't want termites especially.
