Hello Barb! No stain for a laminate table top. Stain is meant to soak into wood. Stain
would just sit on top of the laminate, take a long time to dry and be easily wiped off. It would never last. This article suggests you can use a tinted polyurethane product which is basically polyurethane with stain color in it. You would have to do several coats as the first coat or two is quite streaky. Minwax Polyshades is a tinted poly product that comes in many colors. I have tried this twice on wood furniture. I am not a fan of it--I prefer to stain and then poly BUT it may work really well for laminate. I usedPolyShades in Expresso for the WOOD projects I was working on. Nice color!

You first paint the item with the color of the grain that would show thru the gel stain, and then select a darker gel stain to paint on top and use the graining tool. This is not a table but you will get the idea.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F12rzALu1EI
