Do I need to seal a table that I painted with a sand-paint mixture?

I mixed sand into my paint and used it on a table. do I need to put a sealer or protective coat on it to keep the sand from rubbing off?

Hi Debbie,
Yes. The sealer protects the finish so that the texture doesn't get accidentally knocked off. Give it 3 coats to make sure everything stays in place. Wishing you the best.

  Thank you so much. I think if I use a brush to much on the finish it will brush off the texture. Would you use a spray or what?

  You could use a spray or use a foam brush. You'll want to be gentle with the first coat so you don't disrupt the texture. Once the first coat is on and dry the other coats will be easier. I haven't actually done this, but if it were me, I'd use a spray sealer for the first coat, let that dry then other coats with a foam brush and a self-leveling polycrylic. Hope that helps.
