Baking soda should do the job especially after cleaning. You still have odor?
Yes. Previous renters left ice cream and chicken breasts (in open package) in freezer so it’s bad!
Scrub it with baking soda, let sit for a couple of hours before rinsing well. Or you could rinse it with bleach water, too. Then rinse well with plain water.
If your frig has one of those trays at the bottom, be sure to clean that out. Then I would put baking soda in the frig, and I even give a spray of Frebreeze inside to kill the odor.
Put a pie pan full of charcoal in the freezer and leave it for a couple of days - it will absorb the nasty odors!
Good ole baking soda put an open box in the back of course wash it first with warm water with baking soda in the water.
