How can I seal a table to protect it from the elements?
I have a 60 year old picnic table handmade which was damaged in a hail storm. I sanded all the dents out it looks like it was made of two by fours... I want to keep the retro look of the table and want to seal it from the weather without color. Any suggestions??? They say polyurethane won't work in the sun and I also tried a natural stain but came too dark.....

Yes, there are exterior grades of polyurethane. Look for “Spar Marine Varnish”.
Spar Marine Varnish!
Minwax Helmsman Satin Oil-based Spar Urethane Varnish
Something labeled spar or for outdoor use. Preferably for boats
I recommend General Finishes. https://amzn.to/2Ui7sZ2
