LINDA....with fall coming then Christmas you can have so much fun. Baskets, cookie jars, old mixers, painted mason jars of different sizes, even a cookbook holder with a cookbook. Just find what you like...could add some pictures in nice frames too.
Also, some lights that are set on a timer would be a great addition.
Hi Linda, above the cabinets is a great place to display so many different kinds of collections. To keep it from looking cluttery stick to similar items. Vintage kitchen items would be a lot of fun to display. Look for them at thrift stores and garage sales. But it really depends on what you love and what your decor style. Stick with what you love and you can't go wrong.
Keep it simple. You could probably get by with just a large statement piece like a beautiful painting, platter or tray.
I love the idea of using houseplants in those type of spaces.
