I would fill with hot water and add a little dishwasher detergent or dishwasher soap. Soak it overnight.

Hi. Lloyd. Cover the burned area with water. Add 3-5 tablespoons of salt. Soak for at least 6 hours. Then fill pot with water and more salt (about the same as before) and bring to a boil. Boil for at least 3 minutes. This should lift the cheese. Use cream of tartar to clean completely. Aluminum marks easily. Good luck.
