Unless you want something very specific fabric wise-sometimes purchasing online can be easy and possibly a more economical option. I have an ottoman cover on my leather Natuzzi ottoman because want to protect it from both the dog and shoe scratches . Here’s a link please sort by color or price-hope this helps.

GOOD LUCK! I love that you are tackling this project. Re-upholstery is my favorite way to re-do furniture. You get such a fulfillment from an amazing transformation.
You don't state what type of ottoman, so I picked a video of one in pleather..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pg3IjBrjKDI I would finish the bottom with some black cotton for a more finished look.

You could also make a slip cover, maybe with faux fur?
