What is the best method to whitewash bricks surrounding a fireplace?
Cathy....Many people are spraying them but the ones I am familiar with are entire houses and done by professionals.
Hi Cathy, you can paint brick to make whatever it is look entirely different. Depending on the size of the brick area, you could use a brush or it a large area a deep nap roller. Just know the brick will absorb quite a lot of paint to begin with and will nearly always take at least two coats of paint if not more. You could also mix water into the paint and do a "white-wash" effect where the paint just subdues the brick color.
