How can I get stop tree roots from taking over my lawn?
The neighbor’s tree roots are spreading to my lawn. How can I get rid of them without digging up my whole yard?

You can have them removed with a stump grinder, but that would make a mess of the yard. There are a few videos on YouTube but nothing looks too promising.
You can dig around large visible roots and cut them. But no matter what you do roots will always grow out.
Hi Debbie. I'm Cindy. If you want to get rid of tree roots, use a shovel or pick to dig around the root. Cut the root from the tree. Dig and pull out as much of the root as you need. Most tree roots will die if cut. The tree may also die.

I would not use the Roundup on neighbors tree roots cause he may sue you if you kill his tree. Plus roundup is a nasty carcinogen and is killing all the bees.
