Is there any way to raise a toilet seat?

I have a round toilet seat with lid and it's too low. Any ideas to make it higher. I don't want to buy a new toilet. Appreciate any I'm out. Thanks.🤔

Hi Norma. I'm Cindy. My Aunt had this same problem. She purchased a new toilet seat that had a 4 inch cushion built in. You can change out the seats with the same hardware. It was all she needed to be able to sit and get up from the toilet. I know Walgreen's sells medical equipment, but you may have to go online for a specific item. Good luck Norma.
There are elevated toilet seats available at medical supply houses.
There are several types of risers to add to the toliet, with handle bars and without.... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=toilet+seat+risers&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 As a caregiver I recommend one with the scooped out back for easy wiping, and if its a senior the bars are great.... otherwise install a grab bar next to the toiliet. Be sure the screws are 2 1/2" to 3" long into studs.
