2 pallets. MANY businesses give for free. Get 4 pieces of reinforcing bar 5 foot long at Home Depot. Stand up one pallet on edge and put a piece of rebar into the front right and the back left. Start to pound into the ground until you can gently lift the pallet off. Continue to drive the rebar into the ground about a foot (until it is just below the height of the pallet. Put the pallet back onto the rebar. Instant fence. By placing the rebar in opposing corners it keeps it from shifting.

Ok you could try rebar stuck into the ground, or also bamboo (dead, of course).

Even more creepy and spooky is tree branches. You could weave spider webbing from the dollar store in between .

    Have fun!

careful with the rebar. the kids in my neighborhood get so excited that they rush right through any fencing i put up and you do not want anyone impaled. you can get "spooky" plastic fence sections at dollar store. about 2' long sections for a buck. you could also get rope and thread dollar store skulls through them so they look like they are floating. dollar store also has "caution tape" just make sure that anything you use as a post is either so flimsy that it falls down or so high and strong that it will not budge.

If you have scary Halloween decorations using caution tape fits right in with the theme!
