I have seen right hinged. May be as pre order.
Doug,the majority of people are right-handed. The manufacturers base their products on what MOST customers want. To open a microwave door with your right hand you'd need to have your dish or whatever in your left to place into the microwave....kind of unhandy for us righties. You can, however, order ones that hinge on the right from most big box stores. Here's some info....
