Are they interior or exterior doors?
You’re talking too small on the vertical axis? You’ll have to re-cut the hinge butt’s seat in the jamb set to align with how you want to deal with the 2” gap.
That will take a very sharp chisel and patience.
I would split the difference: 1” on each end.
Hi Veronica. You need to beef up the opening with wood. Since it's just two inches, a one by 7 (or whatever the opening is) will suffice. Then you can install your doors. Use a wider moulding to finish the frame out so the built up doesn't show. Good luck!
You will have to add wood in between the door and the frame.
Are the doors 2inches too small all the way around, or are they 2inches too short?
