How can I clean sweat out of bedsheets?
My husband perspires heavily in bed and the sheets have an oily feel. Is there a cheap home remedy I can use to remove it? I've tried leaving them on the clothes line in the rain and sun for a week or so at a time, but it didn't help.

Have you tried baby powder or cornstarch? Sprinkle the powder on your sheets leave it for a day, shake it off before throwing them in the wash the powder will soak up the oils.
This person uses borax washing powder and dish soap in the wash machine to remove the stains caused by perspiration. I'd give it a try!

I add 1/2 c of 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax to the wash, and 1/2c of white vinegar to the rinse on my clients sheets. I have also used Spray n Wash, to pre-treat yellowed oily body oils.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll try them.
