What is the best method of getting rid of rodents?

If they’re in your house, attic, basement, first block every crevice & tiny hole with steel wool jammed in there.

Spray those holes crevices with 100% white vinegar to help wash away their known trails.

Then there’s some options for destroying them in the house:

traditional mouse traps, baited w/ peanut butter, sticky traps - both along their known paths.

Then there’s special bug bombs that will kill them with sufficient quantities: Raid Fumigator, is the trade name.

This means they’ll die wherever they are & one may not find their dead bodies until they start to decay.

If that doesn’t work, let me know and Plan B is in order

I've always had success using mousetraps or sticky traps. It's not fun to remove them from the trap but at least there isn't poison around for other animals or little ones to get into. Then any large holes or gaps can be sealed with Pestblock expanding foam so they don't get back in. I hope this helps!

Thanks!! I have a new trailer I live in a trailer park and you know how that is!!! I will do the vinegar and then get some clear sealer calk and use that. It’s in my bathrooms under the sinks where all the moisture is. Then I’ll get the Raid. Thanks and I’ll see what this does and get ready but hopefully not and we’ll go with plan B. Thanks so much!!!

About 18 months ago we had a co-infestation, mice-in the house and squirrels-in the attic. Ugh.

First go outside and take a very objective look at where mice can get in, foundation, wires they enter/exit the house (they are skilled climbers), around the doors and windows, any cracks, etc. The can fit through a hole the size of a small marble. If you have them inside already, put down the sticky cardbosrd traps-they usually run around the walls of the room. be sure to move the traps because they learn where they are and avoid them. The snap traps did not work for us. The diy stores have a spray foam to fill cracks and crevases, it will cut their face if they try to chew through it.

For the squirrels we had to get professional help, they installed a one-way chute from the attic to the outside, it had a flap on the end to prevent re-entry. This process took several weeks, we were nervous because it was the season for the babies to be born. The pro's came back and removed the chute when it was all clear, no more scampering around sounds. They closed it off and that was the end of them.
