How do I repurpose a very old bathroom sink?
One option is to refinish the sink and counter. If you click on the picture next to my name it will take you to a sink project I just did. There is an older project where I was refreshing a bathroom with paint that you might find helpful. Right now, I am working on updating that bathroom again, so hope to post that in the near future. Decide on colors, a budget and what work you want to do yourself and get started!
Thank you so much.
By the time you spend the money for materials and tools, plus your time, in trying to make over the vanity with what would be custom-built drawers, I would think that it would be more cost effective to simply switch out the entire unit with one with pre-made drawers.
If you purchased a vanity with a smaller integrated basin, rather than an over-mount style as you have now, there would then be more room behind it to install a different set of taps (that match!) or a combined tap and faucet single unit. (Two examples shown below).
