How do I build faux cabinets between the cabinet tops and the ceiling?

Our the tops of my kitchen cabinets are about 1½ feet below the ceiling. I'd like to build faux cabinets for that space (with or without glass fronts?). Any suggestions on where I can find directions/plans to do this?

I would buy mini barn door hardware that’s made exactly for this. As in 1/2”-1” thick cabinet doors.
I bought mine at Menards.
I finished 2x2’s to match and screwed them into the ceiling joists, so that the barn door hardware had a surface from which to hang.
Then you can use whatever kind of door panels you want. There’s pre-made ones that you’d hang sideways.
You could also enclose the space between ceiling and cabinet tops with sheetrock since it sounds like you are not using it for storage.
