Is this wood or metal? Metal can be bondo-ed, sanded and repainted. Wood can be filled with wood putty that matches or puttied and restained.
You can add a small amount of wood putty to the dings. They sell wood putty in different shades. Find the color that best matches your finish and lightly sand. :)
