What kind of kitchen-safe gloss can I add to a laminate counter top?
I want to apply a gloss to my kitchen counter top but don't want to use epoxy. Can I use Rustoleum acrylic and would it be food and heat safe?

It won't stick and will peel. Definitely not heat or scratch safe. Unfortunately epoxy or replacement are your best choices. You can always apply car wax for more shine, but will have to redo it often.
Good advice from Kelli. I use good, old fashioned paste wax on items that I build in my shop. You can also get a small, cheap buffer for about $30. I think it helps. Got mine at Lowe’s but they are also available online. It’s a Black and Decker.
