How can I attach a faucet to a granite countertop?
Purchased a new faucet for our kitchen. The mounting system it cam with will not fit due to the previous hole being drilled to close to the cast iron apron sink, the rubber washer, metal washer and the screw in connector will not fit between the sink

What faucet was previously in its place? I would choose a faucet that fits the existing openings. Or get your granite guy out to plug the existing holes and drill new ones - if it will not compromise the slab itself.
We had a Kohler Fairfax faucet that the mounting bracket rusted out in. Absolutely no warning my hubby reach to turn the water on and the faucet fell forward. We went to the plumbing supply store where it was purchased in 2012 when we built our home to get the parts to fix it, but it is no longer being made. So we bought a new faucet. The new faucet has a different type of mounting system, it fits the hole fine, it’s just that because of the way it is designed to mount, there isn’t enough room between the sink and the cabinet to screw on the flange. So i’m Hoping someone can give me an alternative way to mount it. It is a Giagni Pompa PD-222-SS. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Return the faucet. Draw a template using paper off the current one and take it to the store with you to make sure the new one fits. There should be a template in the box. Match it up before you buy a new one. I had to go to numerous places to find one to fit my sinktop.
