Very high heat is only thing that kills them and your average heaters cannot go up that high and maintain the heat. Otherwise: Hot Shot makes a spray that works very well on bed bugs. Spray room from top to bottom.
Anything washable goes in hot water and hot dryer. Buy bags for mattress and springs(Amazon, wal mart, target). They seal tight to keep bugs in or out. I think the best thing we did was put clear packing tape around the socket and switch covers. No way for them to get in or out of the walls. Keep an eye out for any stragglers; usually seen near top of walls near ceiling.
