How do I remove layers of tobacco smoke from an end table ?
I purchased two end tables and a coffee table from an estate auction that has many accumulated years of tobacco smoke and was only polished with a popular spray wax. How do I get this off? I tried scrubbing with Murphy's Oil Soap but now it's covered with a white film!!

I would try a solution of vinegar and water. Try a half cup of each and a drop or two of dish soap in a spray bottle. Rub with a clean cloth, going with the grain. Test it in an inconspicuous spot.
Thank you for that!!
Ann's answer is the way to start. Once you get it cleaned off, if you can still smell smoke try Odo-Ban.
