It depends on the level of burned on. I usually take an emery sponge or steel wool. Barkeeper's friend is a good, mild abrasive.
Roberta....Try Bar Keepers Friend...Walmart or most grocery stores
Get a plastic tub large enough to hold the pan. Soak it overnight in a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar. Once the burned stuff is softened scrape off what you can with a plastic scraper. Repeat the process as needed changing out the soaking solution each time.
also you can try spray on oven cleaner, use gloves and in a ventilated area.
SOS pads and elbow grease.
