Hi Linda, here's some help....

I usually use a damp cloth to wipe up or clean any errant spots.
I read a post on here how to clean microsuede as I was about to give up on my recliner, so I tried it. I poured some plain ole alcohol into a saucer and used a baby brush to go over the arms, seat and foot rest...... wow it looked brand new. Don't worry you will get it too wet, it evaporates off pretty quickly.
Alcohol (Isopropyl) definitely works.
I mixed Isopropyl in a spray bottle with distilled water. 75% Isopropyl to 25% distilled water. Sprayed the entire sofa. Really soaked the areas with heavy staining then scrubbed with a soft brush and sponge. The distilled water leaves no water stains.
The sofa and loveseat which were a very light almost beige colour now look brand new. And as Sharon said the alcohol dries very quickly.
