Tinsnips as mentioned by another poster are what professional tinners use. They come in straight, angled and curved cuts. You can also use electric snips
A jigsaw with a metal cutting blade might be the easiest and fastest way to go. You can get a base model for under $30 if you don’t have one or don’t have a family member or friend to borrow one from. If you do a fair amount of work it would also be a nice addition to your tools.
