I would attach it with screws that are specifically made for masonry. It will be more sturdy. Glue typically doesn't do well with inclement weather and will fail over time.
Concrete anchors and screws. Tampcon concrete screws. Glue will not hold or last.
you certainly can try it using this adhesive product https://www.liquidnails.com/fuzeit?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0pzSnLeP5AIVkMJkCh2-kghHEAMYAyAAEgIC0fD_BwE then if not you'll need to get masonary bit and use anchors here is video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BJafiHZb0A also drilling into brick is better than messing up the mortar and putting some silicone caulk with screws so water doesn't get trapped in hole around screw area causing damage to brick here are more videos to help you https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=diy+hanging+mailbox+on+brick+house
Use masonry screws, adhesive may not hold because the bricks are rough causing more air gaps. You could screw a piece of wood to the bricks and then adhesive on the wood to the mailbox.
Masonary anchors.
I don't believe there's any glue or construction adhesive that will hold. You'd need to use two heavy duty L brackets and masonry screws.
It would be best to use masonry screws.

Adiseal is the ultimate brick adhesive for sticking different items to brick. Adiseal provides strong adhesion when sticking wood to brick, metal to brick, stone to brick, plastic to brick and more. It is suitable for both interior applications as well as an exterior brick adhesive.. That being said I would attach it with screws.
