Hi ! I always painted mine with the wall color ! Even though they are still visable , they are much less noticeable.
They make plastic covers that are paintable if you want to use on a wall for cords. You can fish them inside the wall if you are handy. The plug could be hidden by using a recessed outlet.
Cord covers! You can paint them to match your walls.
