Hi Jerry, here's some ideas that might inspire you to think up other iideas. Photos are always a great conversation starter. You might be able to locate some of her favorite photos and photocopy them for some portion of a centerpiece. Also, maybe decorate using her favorite colors.

For our daughter's wedding, we used Mason jars. We wrapped them in ribbon(hot glued in place) in her colors. Then a thinner strip of lace ribbon around that. We filled the bottom with flat glass marbles(found her colors at the Dollar Tree). We then used pretty greenery, (ivy) and placed a few sprigs in each jar and out a about 10". We wrapped the sprig around the bottom a bit. Using other larger bouquets we got at the Dollar Tree, we snipped them off very short. Just so the flowers would rest atop the jar when inserted. We gave each nosegay a spritz with clear glitter spray for a bit of sparkle. Everyone loved them!
You could do a photo collage with Mason Jars - https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/mason-jar-photo-gallery-3358309

Do you have photos of your mother at various points in her life? I think it would be really cute to put a photo of her along with perhaps her favorite flower or candles.
