Do the chairs have an old covering that needs to come off before the new covering is put on?

Is the inside stuffing still intact, or does it also need to be replaced?

Please post a picture of your chairs now, so that we can see what you are starting with.

The cushions will come out. I just trying to decorate for Christmas and wanted an easy way out to redo!

Depends a lot of the chair! You could just recover the cushion or alternatively purchase a cover to cover the whole unit.

    Thanks for the picture.

One possible source of holiday themed coverings that may work for you are throw pillow covers. I have seen inexpensive styles at the $ store. The examples below are from

With luck your seats will fit inside the cover. Wrap the ends around to the back and staple in place. Once the seat is put back in, the frame should help hold the fabric down, at least for duration of the holiday season.
