How can I make an animal using black paper and red ribbon?
Each year I have a "theme" for gift wrapping. One year it was brown paper packages tied up with string, last year it was snow men. I have 5 grandchildren did that for each one of them in 2018. This year I had already bought black paper and red buffalo print ribbon when my grandson asked what "animal" was I going to do this year? I don't want to disappoint him, but I want to use what I already bought. Any suggestions out there in creativity land?

I have seen the rustic buffalo check with deer and bears. They are super cute. Maybe use this free printable I found and make some tags. I bet you could find more on Etsy or Pinterest. https://lizoncall.com/free-printable-buffalo-check-deer-silhouette/
Don't panic. You got this!
Make a bear's face on each package simply by cutting out circles from brown (brown paper grocery bags) and black paper. To give more stability to each face, first glue the large black circle with attached round ears on to thin cardboard such as cereal box cardboard.
Add life to the faces with inexpensive wiggly eyes.
Buffalo ribbon under each face then becomes a scarf for each bear.
