Ketchup. Slather ketchup on the item. Let it sit for a while. Wipe off and rinse. White toothpaste. A dab of toothpaste on a damp cloth and gently rub. A dab of toothpaste on a damp toothbrush for patterns. Rinse well.
Hi Jan. I'm Cindy. You will need vinegar, salt and flour. Dissolve one teaspoon of salt into a half-cup of vinegar, Add flour until it makes a paste. Rub this paste on the brass and let it set 10 minutes. Then rinse with warm water and buff dry.

Depending on the item to be cleaned, I use Brasso or ketchup. If there are intricate patterns I use a toothbrush to get into those areas.
