White cleaning vinegar, wipe down all gaskets. Run a cleaning cycle with bleach then another hot water cleaning cycle. In the future, leave the washer open to help reduce the possibility of odor.
Try Tide Washing Machine Cleaner: https://amzn.to/355LFZh
I would run a short cycle (empty) using white vinegar instead of laundry detergent.
Hi ! You can use white vinegar and baking soda of a washing machine cleaner called afresh . You might have to repeat the process a couple of times . Also leave the door open slightly when not in use ...I know it doesn't look as neat , when the door is open , but it will keep the bad odor from coming back .
Yes, clean the rubber inside the door.
Often there can be accumulation of lint, hair, and threads, in between the rubber folds, which if not cleaned out, can begin to smell.
Also, leaving the door open so the inside of the washer can dry out when not being used, can help prevent bad smells.
Is it an HE washer? My HE top load washer recommends tub cleaning with a commercial product ——two I know of are affresh and a TIDE tub disinfectant product which supposedly helps to clean all the areas in the washer that tend to store residue/water in the high-efficiency design
