Hello there,
Without seeing your room and how you use it, it make it difficult. I don't know what a Warframe is (a Large piece of furniture - Cabinet)?
Really joan, if you are able, measure your room and draw a scale of it on paper including any chimney breasts, windows and doors. Th en measure each piece of furniture and cut out the shape and mark up what it is. Then you will be able to play around placing your furniture until you get the effect or the plan you are happy with and will work for you. Saves all that effort of moving furniture around and getting over tired! I always do this in my home. I keep the plan and the furniture pieces and store in a marked envelope so I can use it or them again as required................Best wishes. It is quicker and easier in the long run to do it this way.......
The key to any interior design is Composition. Balance the room in both Mass, Height and Color. Windows, Doors & Traffic Patterns as well.
Since you have a TV in there, then put the TV where it can be seen by the pieces you want focused on it & where you have an outlet.
Buy some graph paper, 1 square =6”, perhaps. Cut out your pieces of furnitures’ footprints. Draw the room perimeter with doorways and windows. Write the height on your paper furniture and title.
Shuffle them around until you have a balance and about 3’ aisles in front of furniture that needs access, like the sofa.
Color balance can be easily fixed with pillows, throws, area rugs and wall art. Paint is cheap.
Joan: a photo would be helpful! ...also, remember that all furniture does not have to be mashed against a wall... it can stand free, like around the edge of an area rug.
