I saw this on Hometalk and thought I saved it but can't find it. You use a wire wreath and wrap the batten around it before attaching ornaments. I don't know how to wrap the batten

Hello, Im sorry I don’t understand, what is batten... a strip of wood? I have only seen a project where they wrapped a pool noodle around the wire wreath form.
I would think you could just wrap it around and secure with either chenille ties, thin floral wire, or zip ties. That is what I use when I make wreaths and I use the wire form for all of mine.
Perhaps this is what you mean Grace-I have enclosed a picture. You can use a bit of hot glue to get your first wrap started and also when you end it. You just go round and round overlapping as you go. It's easy!
thank you so much
I think you could tie a simple knot at the back through where the wires meet. Then tuck it inside before wrapping the rest of the wreath. Hot glue at the very end to secure it.
I would pick a spot to start hot glue it on the tip then wrap it all next to each other till covered putting dots of glue every now and then
Tie a piece of string to the end of the batting, or tape it on tightly then start inside and wrap until you get to the starting point of the batting and do the same with a little bit of overlap.
You can start wrapping it on one end and add a little hot glue, then continue wrapping and add a little hot glue at the end.
